Downtown Pocahontas streets will be closed for many sesquicentennial events. Park at a Shuttle Bus location and take the bus to downtown and to the other event venues.
 

 
 

 

SHUTTLE SERVICE

2 shuttle buses will travel the route, passing every 30 minutes, each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (between Sept. 21 & Oct. 8).

Buses will operate:
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

On nights when events extend beyond 9:00 p.m., bus hours will extend at least one hour beyond end of the event.

For vehicles entering the city from west on Hwy. 62 or Hwy. 67 south, parking will be available on the old Wal*Mart parking lot on Hwy. 62.

For vehicles entering the city from the north on Hwy. 67, parking will be available in the Pocahontas Community Center parking lot just off Hwy. 67 on Geneva Drive.

For vehicles entering the city from the north on Hwy. 115 or from the west on Hwy. 90, parking will be available within the Randolph County fairgrounds parking lot.
 

SPECIAL PARKING

For vehicles with handicap permits, parking will be available in the parking lot west of the Pyburn Street Church of Christ on Thomasville Ave.

For vehicle owners with special permit passes (venders and committee), parking is available in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church on Thomasville Ave. Parking permits should be displayed on the dash of the vehicle while parked.
